Process of scanning or following the data on our web page. Our page will scan through a program by Google. It's also follow our linked pages.

Catching

Data are scanned by Google store the information as database.

Indexing

The data's are stored after crawling and catching then the pages are added to the Google search.

content specific

Focusing the same word or using the same keyword in several times in a page.

There are two types of seo practices: Black hat practices and White hat practices.

Black hat practices

In black hat seo not following the guidelines of search engine.They doing the practices like content specific and key word stuffing.

White hat practices

In white hat seo follows the search engine rules and policies. By following white hat seo techniques it is easy to understand on crawling. White hat practices focused on the quality of web pages.

Link specific

Adding more links from other websites is called link specific. Not giving the importance for site improvement and modifying, Focused only for links from various websites.

Quality link specific

Google implement a rule to avoid the link specific, that share or add only the quality links on web pages. Otherwise automatically decrease the page ranking.

Passing the juice

It is the power that to be passed to our sites by links from other external websites. It's a vote for our page. Page rank will reduce when the links are passed from our sites. That we are losing our power.

Google ad words                               

It is an advertising program by Google. Advertisement can be done by paying on Google. Shopping ad, text ad, image ad are the types of Google ad words.

Ad sens

It is a program from Google, that we can earn money from Google. If we have so many users on our sites, we can apply to adsense. They will check our eligibility and they will approve site to enable to show ad. If number of users decrease automatically earnings will reduce.

pogo sticking

Due to the poor design, taking long time to load and confusing about the page, the users not longer on sites. It will reduce our ranking called pogo sticking.

Social media signals

Web pages are shared and liked by social media our ranking will increase. Due to authority likes and shares getting the more power to our sites. Number of users increases authority power of a site increase.

Google panda

Panda is introduced for catching the content spaming in 2011.

Content spaming

Copying the content from other sites(content duplication ) panda will catch.

Content spinning

Content are copying from other pages and pasting as randomly.

Thinny pages

Pages has contain very less content ,will catch panda.

Panda 4.0 Version

Updated version of panda. Google adding a filter on algorithm and it's working on crawling process. If Google has no clarity on the site, it will go to sandbox.

Penguin

Developed to catch the link spaming on the websites. It was introduced in 2012.

Link spaming

1. Link Exchange: Exchange the links between websites.

2. Link Sell : Selling the links for money to the other sites.

3. Comment spaming: commenting on other sites, then taking links

from that sites will catch penguin.

4. Link farming : By a software application automatically creating

the links.

5. Link referral : Creating a profile on other sites, we can submit our

links on that sites.Also we getting more links from

that sites.

6. Wiki spaming: Getting links from wikipedia and also sharing links

on it.

7. Guest blogging: We can create blog on other sites as a guest.

Also we can share our links on that site.

Pirate updation

Pirate updation is developed in 2012 august to catch the content, slides, images and videos are copied from our sites and published in other sites without our knowledge. We can file a complaint to Google as per the Digital Millennium Act. Google will remove or suspend that sites from search engine.
 
                    

Parked Domain

Registration of domain name without that domain being associated with any services. This has been done for reserving the domain name for future development. We can sell the domain to others.

Exact Mat Domain (EMD)Updation

Creating domain using exact keyword is called EMD. Google will catch the website if there are no improvements and services. In EMD period we have to achieve a position otherwise Google remove the site from search result. EMD updation introduced on 2012 September.

 

Pigeon updation

Google Pigeon was released on July 2014. Update is aimed to increase the ranking of local search. This update provides the results on the location of user.

Hummingbird Update

Google started hummingbird on September 2013. This concept is based on the semantic search and giving the exact and deep information on search results. In hummingbird results are given by Google depending on feedback of users. The only defect is that Google never check, the given information is right or wrong. Google listed it by feedback of users.

Rank brain

Rank brain is an artificial intelligence system by Google introduced on October 2015. It helps Google to process search results and provide more relevant search results for users. If we typed in wrong words, the Google intelligence thinks it and giving the exact results that we are expecting.

Mobilegeddon

Mobilegeddon is a Google algorithm update on April 2015.It gives the priority to web sites that display well on smart phones. Changes do not affect searches made from desktop or laptop. Text should be readable without tapping or zooming, not allow the horizontal scrolling and responsive design is must for mobile friendly sites this are the main criteria in mobilegeddon algorithm. Google will be named the site is mobile friendly or not.
